Litterpicking on Chingford Hall estate
In late October I attended a Safer Neighbourhoods meeting with Local Support Officers from the Metropolitan Police, Peabody staff and Valley ward residents. Several residents raised their concerns about litter and fly tipping on the Chingford Hall Estate. Following the meeting, I contacted Peabody and in partnership with the Council we organised a Community Clean Up day on the estate.
It was great to be joined by local volunteers, Love South Chingford Community Group and the Safer Neighbourhood Police Team. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring people together, chat about keeping our local area clean and tidy and hear what residents would like to see going on in their local area. The day was a real success and a great show of teamwork. I look forward to organising more of these community events in the future.
