Your Labour Council is making more of our streets healthier and safer for residents to travel on, especially for pedestrians and cyclists.

We’re also improving their climate, biodiversity and flood resilience. Flood resilience works have recently started in Wadley Rd, adding to those completed in Esther Rd, Kings Passage and the free water butts we’ve given away.

The Wadley Rd scheme includes ‘Rain Gardens’, permeable surfaces and more planting which help mitigate against increased risks of surface water flooding, alongside planting more trees to provide shade and improve habitats for pollinators, insects and birds.
