Our Labour Council is making our streets healthier for residents to travel and live on, especially for pedestrians and cyclists, whilst improving their climate and biodiversity resilience. In Cann Hall we have recently seen the installation of priority and safety features for pedestrians and cyclists on Harrow Road, alongside the installation of ‘Rain Gardens’, permeable surfaces, and more trees and planting. This will mitigate against increased levels of surface water flooding and improve habitats for pollinators and other insects and birds.
