How are we delivering opportunities for children and young people?
Outstanding service for Children in Care and good service throughout.
A recent Ofsted inspection confirmed that our children services are good across the board, with outstanding support for our children in care. We are really proud of this achievement and will continue to work hard to deliver an outstanding service on all counts.
Free school meals
With money from the Mayor of London, we now offer every child a free lunch across our primary schools. We also provide free breakfast for over 2000 of our most in need children through school based breakfast clubs. This ensures our children are well-fed and ready to learn throughout the school day.
Space4All youth clubs – 24 running every week throughout the borough
Delivering on our manifesto promise, we now have 24 youth clubs across the borough offering a range of activities including cooking, gaming and music production. Hundreds of young people attend every week to meet with friends and learn new skills.
Family Hubs
Winning £4m from the last government to support families, our Family Hubs provide services including baby weighing and benefits advice, in addition to creative play like Rhyme Time. Our Family Hubs have gone from strength to strength supporting local families and we look forward to continuing this brilliant work.
