Windfall dividend awarded to Council used to insulate homes

Last winter, the Council used North London Waste Authority money to support Cann Hall households – some most seriously affected by the cost of living crisis – to reduce their heating costs with measures such as loft insulation, energy-saving bulbs, reflective radiator panels and more. At Southfield Court, on Acacia Road (a Council temporary housing block) recent refurbishment included insulation on the external walls. Council-owned Victorian houses in our ward have also been getting insulation. These initiatives will lower heating costs for residents, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions being released into our atmosphere. A win-win!
