Residents have raised serious concerns about crime in some specific areas in St James ward.
We are working closely with council anti-social behaviour officers and the police to tackle these issues, including regular ward walks and arranging a street stall with both the council and police officers outside Blackhorse Road station, to enable residents to raise their concerns with officers directly. We are planning to continue this programme in the new year – if your area is affected by crime or ASB please get in touch.
We were pleased to recently have a visit in Waltham Forest from the Policing Minister, Dame Diana Johnson MP who has pledged to work with us to solve this problem. We would also strongly recommend reporting any crime and ASB in order to help officers map issues and direct resources where they are needed.
